Set a tidy-up time on each service and the diary keeps that gap clear without showing it to the customer. A full detail in one village and a mini valet in the next stop being booked back to back with nothing in between.
It is a fixed amount rather than a distance calculation — set it to your usual hop and let the diary protect it.
Small car, large car, van
The same wash is not the same job on a Fiesta and a Transit. List them as separate services with their own durations and prices, and the customer picks the one that matches what they drive. No quoting over text, no arguing on the driveway.
Deposits on the long ones
A full paint correction is most of a day. A mini valet is an hour. Ask for a deposit on the first and nothing on the second — set per service, taken into your own Stripe account when the booking is made.
Where the car actually is
Ask for the address and postcode when they book, with a booking form of your own, and it arrives with the booking rather than in a separate message you have to go and find.
One van or six
Each valeter has their own hours, their own area and their own services. A team of six costs what one costs — there is no charge per person and never will be.
